What you can expect from counseling
I counsel from a wellness approach and integrate a systemic perspective into my work. This means that I will explore the impact family, school, work, community, and social environments have on the client and how these systems may serve as obstacles or support for change and growth. Goals for therapy are developed collaboratively.
We will work together to create a warm, supportive, and challenging relationship so that we can grow and meet the needs that brought you to counseling. You can expect me to serve as a teacher, encourager, and coach.
Appointments are scheduled once a week. The first session is devoted to gathering information.
